Is this a hotel management course?

It covers the management side of hotels and tourism: operations, services marketing, customer relationships, human resources, management accounting, events and sustainability. It is a management qualification rather than a culinary or kitchen-skills programme.

How long does the hospitality diploma take?

The Level 4 diploma is designed to be completed in one academic year of full-time study. Part-time, blended and online options are available; the admissions team can confirm the current timetable for Level 4 and Level 5 in your chosen study mode.

What are the entry requirements for a hospitality diploma?

Level 4 typically needs a relevant Level 3 diploma, A-levels or an equivalent Grade 12 qualification. Level 5 typically needs a relevant Level 4 diploma or equivalent. Applicants aged 21 or over with relevant experience may be considered, and English language evidence is needed if English is not your first language.

Can a hospitality diploma lead to a degree?

OTHM states that Level 4 is academically equivalent to Year 1 of a three-year UK bachelor’s degree and Level 5 to Year 2. Universities with OTHM progression arrangements may consider Level 5 holders for a final-year top-up, but each university decides who it admits.
