Refund Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Mount Institute of Business Development DWC LLC ("MIBD", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to providing clear and transparent information about programme fees, cancellations, withdrawals and refunds.
This Refund Policy explains the circumstances in which students may be eligible for a refund, how refund requests are assessed, and the procedures for requesting and receiving refunds.
This policy applies to students enrolled in programmes offered by MIBD in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Refund eligibility is determined in accordance with the terms stated in the student's Offer Letter, the applicable Student Handbook and relevant UAE laws and regulations.
1. General Refund Conditions
Students are encouraged to review all programme fees, payment terms and refund conditions carefully before accepting an offer of admission or making any payment.
The following general conditions apply:
- Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of cancellation or withdrawal, the programme commencement date and the terms agreed upon at enrolment.
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing and supported by relevant documentation where required.
- Any applicable non-refundable charges or administrative deductions must be consistent with the terms disclosed to the student at enrolment and applicable law.
- Refunds are calculated based on the fees paid and the applicable contractual refund conditions.
- Scholarships, discounts and promotional fee reductions are considered when determining the refundable amount.
The specific refund entitlements, applicable deductions and withdrawal notice requirements are set out in the student's Offer Letter and related enrolment documents.
2. Cancellation Before Programme Commencement
Students who wish to cancel their admission before the official programme commencement date must submit a written withdrawal request to MIBD.
Refund eligibility will depend on the date the request is received and the applicable admission and payment terms.
MIBD will acknowledge the withdrawal request and communicate the applicable refund amount, including any deductions, following its review.
Students should not assume that submitting an application for withdrawal automatically cancels outstanding payment obligations.
3. Withdrawal After Programme Commencement
Students who decide to discontinue their studies after their programme has commenced may be eligible for a full, partial or no refund, depending on the agreed enrolment terms and applicable law.
Refund calculations may take into account the commencement date, the date of the written withdrawal request and the applicable contractual conditions.
Students remain responsible for any outstanding fees that are payable under their agreed enrolment terms, subject to applicable law.
Failure to attend classes or participate in learning activities does not, by itself, constitute formal withdrawal from a programme. Students must notify MIBD in writing if they intend to discontinue their studies.
4. Student Visa Refusal
International students who require a UAE student visa should understand that visa decisions are made by the relevant UAE immigration authorities.
If a student's visa application is refused, the student must notify MIBD promptly and provide official documentation confirming the refusal.
Any approved refund will be processed in accordance with the applicable policy and the student's agreed enrolment terms.
5. Programme Cancellation or Postponement by MIBD
MIBD aims to deliver programmes according to the schedules and intake dates communicated to students.
However, circumstances may occasionally require a programme or intake to be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled.
If MIBD cancels a programme or significantly postpones an intake, affected students will be informed and provided with details of the available arrangements.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable terms, these arrangements may include a transfer to another suitable intake or programme, or a refund of eligible fees.
Any alternative arrangement will be handled in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and the student's contractual rights.
6. Scholarships, Discounts and Promotional Offers
MIBD may offer eligible students scholarships, regional grants, early-enrolment discounts or other approved fee reductions.
These awards reduce the applicable programme fee and do not represent a separate cash payment to the student.
Where a student receiving a scholarship or discount is eligible for a refund:
- The refund calculation will be based on the applicable reduced programme fee and amounts paid, subject to the agreed refund conditions.
- The value of a scholarship or discount cannot be redeemed as a cash refund.
- Any applicable refund deductions will be calculated according to the student's agreed payment and enrolment terms.
7. Instalment Payments Through Tabby
MIBD may offer eligible students the option to pay their programme fees in instalments through Tabby, subject to availability and Tabby's approval and terms.
Where fees have been paid using Tabby:
- Refund eligibility is determined by MIBD's applicable refund conditions, not by the instalment arrangement alone.
- Once MIBD approves and processes an eligible refund through Tabby, the corresponding payment schedule will be adjusted in accordance with Tabby's procedures.
- Depending on the refund amount and outstanding balance, future instalments may be reduced or cancelled, and amounts already paid may be returned to the original payment card.
- Students should continue following their current Tabby payment schedule unless Tabby confirms that it has been adjusted or suspended.
The timing of funds being returned to a student's payment card may depend on Tabby's processing arrangements and the student's bank.
For information about instalment adjustments and refund processing, students can visitTabby's Help Centre.
8. Additional Fees and Third-Party Charges
Certain services may involve charges separate from programme tuition, including:
- Visa applications and immigration-related processing.
- Medical examinations and insurance.
- Accommodation and transportation.
- Third-party registration, examination or certification services, where separately charged.
Refund eligibility for these amounts depends on the relevant service arrangements, the terms disclosed at enrolment, whether the service has already been provided and applicable law.
All applicable charges and deductions will be communicated to the student as part of the refund assessment.
9. How to Request a Refund
Students seeking a refund must submit a written request to MIBD.
Refund requests can be sent to:
Email: info@mountinstitute.com
The request should include:
- Student's full name and student identification number, if available.
- Programme name and scheduled commencement date.
- Reason for cancellation or withdrawal.
- Date and details of relevant payments.
- Supporting documentation, where applicable, such as an official visa refusal notice.
MIBD may request further information where reasonably necessary to assess the refund request.
Refund Review and Processing
Upon receiving a complete refund request, MIBD will review the application against the applicable contractual conditions and communicate the outcome to the student.
Where a refund is approved, MIBD will provide confirmation of the eligible amount and any applicable deductions.
Refunds will generally be returned through the original payment channel, where technically and legally possible. Any alternative payment arrangement may require additional verification.
10. Refund Disputes and Appeals
Students who believe their refund request has not been assessed correctly may request a review by contacting MIBD in writing.
The request should explain the grounds for reconsideration and include any additional supporting documentation.
MIBD will review the concerns and communicate its response.
Students retain any rights to raise complaints with the appropriate regulatory or competent authorities in accordance with applicable UAE laws and procedures.
Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes to This Policy
MIBD may review and update this Refund Policy to reflect changes in institutional procedures, programme arrangements or applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
The latest published version will be available on the official MIBD website.
Any updates will be applied in accordance with applicable law and will not retrospectively remove contractual or statutory refund rights that have already accrued.
Where there is an inconsistency between this general website policy and the student's agreed Offer Letter or other applicable enrolment documents, the student-specific contractual terms will apply, subject always to mandatory legal and regulatory requirements.
